PowerPC + 486-Card + Printer ??

   Hi all !

I have to work with an Apple PowerPC. To be able to use a special DOS-
Software a 486-PC-Card was plugged in.

The software works, but there are problems by using the serial ports.
There is a NEC P6plus printer connected to the printer port which works
with MacOS when the built-in PC is turned off.

The PC "COM1:" is directed to this printer port. But when I try printing
with DOS the printer does just a short move. Switching to MacOS I can see
the error message No. -97 "The port is used by another application (e.g.
Apple Talk)"

But there is no difference if Apple Talk is deactivated or not. I think
there is no other application using the printer port.

What can I do to make the printer working with DOS ??

I need the DOS Software running and printing on this PowerPC - urgent !

As I am not able to read all newsgroups I have mailed to I would be glad
to get assistance by personal mails ! Thanks !!!

MfG,
     Matthias
