Sound test: Data register failed.
Note, however: if you have a ZIP GS, and it is enabled, the 0Cxxxxxx
test will always fail (the 0Bxxxxxx and 05xxxxxx tests may also fail,
which would prevent you from getting as far as the 0Cxxxxxx test).
NO ZIP INSTALLED
To do the self-test properly, turn the machine off, disable the ZIP GS
(set SW1-6 OFF), turn the machine on, and do the self-test again. It
will almost certainly pass.

Sounds like your Control Panels NDA is damaged, or there is something
wrong with one of the files in the *:System:CDevs directory. Try
taking another copy of ControlPanel from your System 6 distribution
disks, then reboot. If that doesn't fix the problem, try deleting the
CDev.Data file from your CDevs directory and reboot again. If it is
still there, there is a more serious problem.

Actually I think my memory is failing me. Coupled with
all of this I had to reinstall my system due to some stupid key prsses
and in the process forgot to put anything in the CDevs directory, (how does
Dave always figure out my crazy obscure problems? ). The error I think was
caused by low voltage because of the cards and hard drive being powered by a 2e
power supply. (this system is a 2e to GS conversion).
