I've been getting timeout errors too, but not as bad as that. I usually telnet
in via my local ISP, but when it chokes it doesn't matter which way I try. I
think that crash has some ongoing problems, growing pains, but since I'm no
longer depending on long-distance connections, and my shell account has
unlimited time, I don't really care if it craps out on occasion - at least as
long as it comes back up again!

What modem are you using, and have you fiddled with the settings any?

What version of ProLine are you using, anyway? Don't dismiss it as crap until
we've exhausted other possiblilities for your problem.

Hmm, did you ask about this in pro-team? I don't remember seeing it, but it
could have slipped past me during busy times.
