Yes, but the crucial question is this--how much does it cost the typical
Windows 3.11 PC owner to upgrade to '95 vs. the cost of a new Mac or PowerMac?
Granted, a Mac system offers big savings in time and effort by its ease of
configuration and usage, but the upfront cost and compatibility issues are
also important. 8 MB additional RAM, at $250 or so, costs a lot less than a
PowerMac, and the typical Windows user's existing software packages could be
used for a while before upgrading to '95 software versions (either software
upgrade path--Mac or '95--can be expensive--and SoftWindows is not really an
option). Also, compatibility is an important matter, as not everyone
likes going through Apple File Exchange . . .
