If you mean, "Is there a built-in hardward diagnostic test for the
add-in RAM?", then the answer is no.

If you mean, "Is there a program I can run to test memory?", then
the answer is yes. It is called BitBanger and does what seems to
be a good job of exercising the daylights out of a RAM card. Reading
through the documentation that came with the program describes some
errors it tests for that I didn't even know existed. The only real
problem with having a diagnostic program is you have to have the
machine to a bootable state to begin with.

Since I'm silly enough to have mailed a diskette off to a fellow in
Austrailia, email me an address and I'll slap another copy into the
mail. I got it in the A2 software library on GEnie. If you have a
GEnie account, look there. You could download it to a Mac and put
it on a ProDOS diskette. I can't remember if it is a ProDOS or GS/OS
program, so I don't know for sure what you have to boot to run it.

Anyway... have fun with the "new" machine.
