There is a utility program on the sider (it is in the main menu, I think) 
which will set up the sider for operation in another slot. Run that 
utility, shut down, move the card, and restart. It is well to remember 
which slot was specified, because that will be the only one in which the 
drive will work. It is NOT necessary to reformat in order to move to 
another slot.

Yeah, probably so.  The old sider 10Meg drive had unreliable power 
supplies. I had to replace the power supplies on both of my siders. I 
found useable ones from JDR Microsystems. Had to study their catalog 
carefully to be sure that what I ordered was the right sise and had the 
right voltages. Took a little mechanical work (and wiring) to fit the new 
ones in. As a temporary fix, I used a spare Apple II power supply, 
mounted outside the sider case. Not neat, but it worked.

As for the clicking sound, I do not know what to say.
