   The hardware end might be doable. The problem is much more on the
software end; you'd need to get specs from the manufacturers on how to
talk to the hardware. If you could get the specs, that would solve a
lot of problems, and get someone to at least think about designing the
hardware.

   SCSI <-> Ethernet converters already exist now. We could physically
hook one to a GS, but since the manufacturers are apparently loath to
give out the details of talking to them, we can't use them.
