What machine are you using? The Apple II+, and all subsequent Apples,
have floating point built in. What we are refering to here is "APPLESOFT
BASIC" , which is contained in ROM, and which can perform floating point
math.
The old Apple II (before the II+) had integer BASIC in ROM. The DOS 3.3
master disk contains floating point BASIC which can be loaded into the
"language card" (the memory expansion card). This must be done before you
can run software which requires floating point BASIC.
