I don't believe there is any drivers for the DeskWriter. (Pretty much
Mac only as I remember.) There are two for the DeskJet. Harmonie from
Vitesse and Independence from Seven Hills.

The DeskJet works fine from 8 bit programs. In fact, AppleWorks 4.0 and
5.0 have a special driver so you can print great proportional text.

As for others, screen dumps from AppleWorks, file dumps from ProTerm,
etc., work like a champ.

The DeskJet has a parallel and serial port so you can use it from the
IIgs serial port with no problems.

I talked to a fellow from Wisconsin recently that had a parallel card,
ImageWriter I and a DeskJet. He hooked the ImageWriter to the serial
port, the DeskJet to the parallel and used the Control Panel to switch
between the two (Your Card and printer port).

Kind Regards,
