Current DeskJet models (e.g. the 540) have no serial port - only a
parallel port.
The DeskJet 500 has both ports, but its serial port is limited to 19200
bps, which slows down printing a bit at high resolutions (the
DeskWriter can do 57600 or use a LocalTalk connection).
