$50 does seem high to me but at this low of a run it is pobibly right.
Now as for $1.50, are you expecting just a overlay?  For $50 I'd expect a 
2 sideed board, drilled, plaited holes, if you can do that for $1.50 go 
into business for yourself.  If you have even tried to make your own 2 
sided board you would know the pain it is!  Also good luck etching a 
board with correct card edge fingers!  By your post I'd suspect you've 
done none of this.
