Yes, the first Apple ][ came with 16k, but quickly went to 48k.  Later,
the Apple ][ Plus came out with 64k RAM and AppleSoft in ROM.  (some later
48k ]['s had AppleSoft in ROM also)   Integer Basic was the predicessor to
AppleSoft
