School Teacher need's your help

I am writing this on behalf of a friend in dier need of some technical 
assistance.  Her Apple II has died, she has 15 disks containing 
documents. I'm not sure of what format of word processer, but she
needs them converted to either MAC or ibm PC.  Is this possible?
How do I help her?  Please e-mail me with any info you may have.
