RamWorks III chips
I have a fully populated RamWorks III (1Mb) in my //e, but a while back
I used the RW III utils to test the card and on only ONE of the tests it
showed that 2-4 (I don't remember how many) of the chips were bad in the
last bank of chips. I recently got ahold of some chips that are usable
in the Apple //gs memory expansion board (1Mb) and I was wondering if
these chips would work in the RW III. The writing on the chips is:
KM41256-15
6402 KOREA
and
TMS 4256-15NLA
EHP 8749
A
I know that these are the correct size, but I'm not sure if speedwise
and such they are ok. In particular, the "-15" has confused me, as the
chips on the RW are "-12" except for three that are "-10". The x1256
varies, where x is either 2,4 or 8. The three with the "-10" have
different designations than all the other chips, being as follows:
HY53C256LS-10
8903A KOREA
and
P21256-10
919 USA
The three above chips may very well be the ones I'm having trouble with,
but I have no way to know, as I accidentally trashed my RW III Util
disk. Could someone let me know which chips (of the above) I can use,
and if none what I need and where I can get it? And if someone could
send me the RW III utility disk I'd be eternally grateful.
Give what you would like to receive,
Glenn
