You may not be aware of a major limitation with this method: even if
you have a numeric keypad, it cannot be distinguished from the main
keyboard by software.  There are quite a few programs, especially
games, that rely on being able to identify a key on the numeric
keypad.  You will not be able to use these programs properly unless you
have an external ADB keyboard.

The IIe keyboard is then a waste of space.

There are other limitations, e.g. it will not work with the "Easy
Access" INIT.
