Since I posted the question, I did more research and finished my UQWK 
reader.  My project started out as an Internet News read-only reader then 
I found that I need to interact with Usenet more so I decided to add 
reply functions to my reader.  Hence, the question of inews.  Then, I 
found out about UQWK and SOUP packets and now everything is done.  Tks
