You have 2 options, basically:

1) Get MasterTracks Pro, a MIDI interface, and a decent GM-compatible synth
   or module (like a Roland Sound Canvas).  This'll definitely give you the
   best possible playback.

or

2) Get MIDI Surgeon (on a GS+ back issue, I think).  Convert to synthLAB,
   and pray that the sequence doesn't use in-channel program changes or more
   than 7 voices at once (files that don't are increasingly rare).

I'd imagine you'd rather go for 2) :)
