I disagree, I find I can't type very well (if at all) using
my Apple IIe keyboard(s). I much prefer the feel of my standard IIgs
keyboard, although I admit the keys could be a bit further spaced apart.
Perhaps I'm just used to this keyboard, I've been using it over 7 years
now, compared with the Golden ][ (II Plus clone) keyboard I used for only
4 years during the early 80s.
The Apple Extended Keyboard I or II seems a good replacement for
the standard IIgs keyboard. I rather like the feel of the Extended II,
though it's rather overpriced (and not even sure if it's still available).
Oddly enough, the original Apple ][ (no +) and Apple III keyboards had
a very nice feel to them IMHO. :)
