Really, you need to take the more subtle approach (like Apple did).  You 
promote the Apple II while assuring the Mac people you will continue to 
support them.  Maybe coming out with a new product or two a year.  
Nothing big of course.  I'm sure you get this idea here.  You've had 
experience.
