IK> I have an apple //e that I assume is enhanced because it has 128K, a
IK>65c02 processor, and runs appleworks just fine.
IK> HOWEVER, when I try to run King's Quest I, the graphics screen has
IK>vertical black stripes through it and the letters are garbled.
IK>Otherwise the game seems to function fine, and it works perfectly on
IK>my Dad's //c
IK>Any ideas? I suspect maybe the video rom. What would be the wallet
IK>damage on a replacement for that?
IK>I welcome any ideas or suggestions, aside from me jumping in a lake
I think I recognize your problem. On the 80 col. card there should be
two lonely pins sticking out of the component side next to each other.
Twist em, solder, put a jumper on em or something else and you should
have dbl-hgr enabled.
Give what you would like to receive,
Glenn
