IS> I have an Apple Monitor II monochrome screen connected to my
IS>Apple IIe system. Lately, I've notice the screen seems to be on a bit
IS>of a tilt. It's always been as such, but I've never really noticed it
IS>until I sat down to type using this screen. The entire viewing area of
IS>the screen is slanted to the right, just a couple of degrees I suppose,
IS>but certainly noticable enough when you sit facing it. I'm curious, is
IS>this normal or is something wrong with the display? The CRT doesn't
IS>appear to be installed improperly (inspecting it from the front or
IS>when I opened the back) but I'm a little nervous when it comes to
IS>playing around inside a high-voltage display. Needless to say I sealed
IS>it up quickly upon noticing the famillar flyback transformer and voltage
IS>wire! ;-) Is there a simple fix for this problem? Perhaps a control
IS>knob I'm not aware of?
I have a monitor that HAD the exact same problem. Fortunately, a friend
of mine was kind enough to fix it by what I believe was simply adjusting
the CRT and tightening a screw. I have no recollection of specifics,
but you should look for some loose screws...;)
Give what you would like to receive,
Glenn
