Sys601,Disk Copy,& Apple ROMs on HD

Is there a GS program that will turn Disk Copy disk images into a
working piece of software? I've used GScii+ to decode the .hqx
encoding, but I can't do anything else with the resulting files...

Today I spend 5 hours with a friend trying to get a 230mb hd to work
with my GS (via an original Apple Rev C SCSI card). The drive had Apple
ROMs on it, and when we used the Advanced Disk Utilities with System 6.0
to partition the HD, the drive *physically* began to 'malfunction'. It
seemed that the ROMs didn't like either the Rev C SCSI or the GS. Has
anyone had this happen before? The drive worked just fine on a Mac, but
it just would not operate properly with the GS. The drive made a
chirping noise, while the fan's speed abruptly slowed down, then
resumed. It was almost like a quick power outage... and the GS didn't
like that because it failed to recognize the drive after.
