Ah, but many of them won't, especially the lurkers who never post so we don't
know how many of them there actually are. They'll decide they have better
things to do with their time than wade through flamage, and get the impression
that there really is no point in owning a II any more. Nobody here wants that,
but for all we know it may already be happening.

People only have to deal with your attitude as long as they want to stay in
the same virtual room as you. They always have a choice of leaving the room.
No one can force you to be somebody else, but they sure as hell can let you
know when they don't like what you insist on being.

Eh? Other than attacking Ian for excessive flamage above and beyond the call
of vindictiveness, what have I done that warrants inclusion in that? I didn't
say anything until it was clear that Jawaid was too far under to handle Ian
like he normally would, and people started posting discouraging remarks about
their impressions of GNO having been lowered greatly by how Jawaid didn't
handle things well.

That sort of thing is a great injustice and I doubt even Ian wanted it, but
that's what his attitude and its generous application eventually produced.
Think about it. Ian was frigging relentless attacking Jawaid. Even as his
friend you should be able to see that Ian is doing way more damage than he
is helping anything.

It's not that Ian expressed himself in the first place, but that he kept
doing it long after the consequences were obviously bad for everyone,
including him. But he was too intent on peppering Jawaid with small arms
fire (especially that incredibly rude GEnie crack) to figure that out.

And I'll express MYself with another reply:

EVERYONE, if you are offended by Ian's excessive flamage, express YOURself!
