Pegasus Pascal is NOT Pascal. It is an extended version of Pascal.
If you relied on any of its features, you would not be able to port
the source to another compiler, because there is no version of Pegasus
Pascal for any other platform.
You could use PP on a IIgs to generate Pascal output, then compile
that with a Pascal compiler for another computer. I don't think I've
ever heard a sillier idea - why use a IIgs as a development platform
for a PC (for example), when the PC is much more powerful?

Yes, I agree. Pegasus Pascal bypasses most of Pascal's strict type
checking, syntax checking, etc. It is basically a different language.
