Um, my ROM 01 has been running happily at 10.5 mhz for quite a few years.
And I'm about to install the 14 mhz 65816 I just got, I expect to need
new cache SRAM but I doubt that it will refuse to work.

Um, if you had an IBM system as old as your GS, you probably couldn't even
get 1/4 of what you paid for it. You've gone cynical, admit it.
