System Saver IIgs: Can it be opened?

                   OPENING  THE SYSTEM SAVER IIGS TO QUIET THE FAN
                   ===============================================

I have two System Saver IIgs fan units by Kensington.   One runs quietly;
the other has a fan vibration problem that is moderately noisy.

Has anyone opened this unit?  Do springs etc. fly out?  Any complications
with reassembly?   I want to open it to tighten the fan mounts, but am 
hestitant to do it in the event that reassembly is difficult.
