It's basically as with any system. Given your habits you don't sound as though
you need one. I've never trusted them, as the older ones have always caused
some incompatibility with my system. However Twilight II appears to be very
stable and from what I've seen, looks nice. I suppose it does enhance your
GS in that the modules are quite neat. The program doesn't appear to be
expensive. Of course there are PD programs which will just blank the screen.
These aren't as neat.

Well, if I had to buy one it would be Twilight II.
