Here are the dip descriptions I have gleened:
(ON means with Zip right-side up, edge connector on the right side pointing
down, dip switch is flipped to the right)

from top down: default: mine:
SW1-1 Cache Cxxx/Dxxx on on
SW1-2 Don't slowdown for joystick off on
SW1-3 Don't slowdown for appletalk on on
SW1-4 Disable Counter Delay off on
(The IIGS will fail self-test $05 with this on, but graphics are supposedly
speeded up with this option on.)
SW1-5 Disable CPS Follow off off
(This makes the Zip GS disable when going into 1 mhz mode. However, with
this option enabled, the disk drives won't work so it should be always
   off.)
SW1-6 Enable Zip GS on on
SW1-7/8 Cache Size 8k on/on
                                  16k on/off
                                  32k off/on
                                  64k off/off
SW2-(1-7) Accelerate Slot #n
(All my slots are accelerated except for slot 6.)
SW2-8 Don't slowdown for speaker off on

: My Dips are From top to bottom of card.
[ dip settings ]
: This is all of them. I have the Zip in Slot 3. I have a RevD 2.01e rom
: Ramfast in Slot 7. I also have a MdIdeas Supersonic in Slot 6.

I have the same setup except my Supersonic is in slot 1.
Try setting your dips to how I have mine and see what happens.
