IIc upgrades in Canada: yes!

You might remember my asking about the availability of Apple //c
upgrades in Canada. I'm happy to report that Apple Canada is still
offering the upgrade. Of course, your average Macintosh Dealer
doesn't know this (you're lucky if they remember the Apple // line
at all), so you have to make them call Apple at 1-800-263-3394
in order to convince them. 

Mentioning "Upgrade ODL299" might also work. Note that this number 
is different from the one posted here some time ago, which was
ODL660. Possibly ODL660 works for the US and ODL299 for Canada. 

To obtain the upgrade, you must provide a proof of purchase of an
high-speed modem.

My //c is now back from the dealer and works flawlessly. (Without
the upgrade offer, this would have cost me Can$314 or about
US$220, according to the service report...)
