OK, I need some advice. I think I just blew out a power supply on my GS.
I was having some problems doing a reboot (Apple-Cntl-Reset). The
thermometer would fill up just like normal, but once it was full, the
computer would freeze and nothing more would happen. I tried it again and
the same thing happened. No problem (I thought), I'll just turn off the
power and turn it back on. NOTHING HAPPENED. No power light, no nothing.
I reseated all the plugs and tried again, several times. No dice. Is my
power supply history? If not, what is going on? If it is dead, where do
I get a new one? Is this a standard item that an electronics store would
have, or do I need to go the Apple, Inc. route? I saw another GS that had
a fan mounted on the side of the PS. Is this an advantage or a gimmick?
What would be a decent price to pay?
Thanks in advance.
