Independence most often; Harmony on occasion (Independence is faster for me).

The DJ500 is faster. Text mode (using AppleWorks 3.0 with a custom printer,
for example) is faster than NLQ on the IW II.  Graphics mode printing is
quite a bit slower than text, of course, but still faster than the IW II.

It's just about the same with Independence.  It can be with Harmony, but you
have more control over the ratios with Harmony.
