Drew,

One thing I just noticed (I was curious myself) is that Meanwell also
produce quad output supplies too - i.e. no need to do the regulator
mod for -5V. I haven't checked the dimensions are compatible with the
IIgs power supply case though (the quad output supply has different
dimensions to the triple output supply). First impression is it looks
small enough, but as I said I haven't measured it up.

Look for "Meanwell Q-60". One such example can be found here:
http://www.computronics.com.au/meanwell/q-60/

I might look into getting one of these as they're quite an inexpensive
way of replacing the IIgs power supply.  :-)
