Most people don't use parallel printers with Apples (IIs or
Macs)...the printers Apple sells use either RS-232, AppleTalk, or
SCSI. All I've ever used with mine is an Imagewriter, which uses
RS-232. (It's only in the past month or so that I picked up a cheap
(read: free) parallel printer, and it's plugged into my 386.)
