My GS seems to have toasted itself today. I tried tried to delete The
Last Ninja off it (because I *finally* beat the game, without even using
GameHacker - GH doesn't help on the really hard parts...), and it said
"Your disk may have a physical defect" or something like that. So I
deleted the folder with Copy II Plus instead, which worked, and verified
the HD with Finder 6's Verify. All OK. Validated, all OK. So I figured
I was all set.
Nope.
Tried to boot soniqTracker - error $1011, would I like to restart or return?
Tried to boot GSHK to restore my copy of sT from archive - same error.
Tried to boot ProTERM to write this message - boots up, but crashes violently
when dialing (am currently using dumb VT320 terminal to write this). It
screws up basically the whole screen and then dumps to GSBug.
Bouncin' Ferno II DOES boot from the Finder. I know this because a friend
played it just now (I forgot to tell him my system wasn't working).
Any ideas? In particular, what is error $1101? Should I try to reinstall
System 6?
I don't want to try anything that might leave me system half-installed or
anything because I don't have it backed up (I know, I know, I back up my
important documents but I was hoping the System folder wouldn't die).
