Rubbish. The IIe to IIgs upgrade consists of a new baseplate and new
genuine ROM 01 IIgs motherboard. This has the full IIgs graphics and
sound capabilities.
The only problems with the IIe to IIgs upgrade are:
- weaker power supply than if you had a real IIgs.
- some compatibility problems using the IIe keyboard (but you can buy
an ADB keyboard to get around them).
- problems with some memory expansion cards that won't fit in the
slanted IIe case.
