Re: rSounds -- How to play them?



The reason most programs that play rSounds require the Sound CDev is
because the Sound CDev accepts certain system requests to play rSounds.
This makes it _much_ easier for programmers to use rSounds.

If you don't like the Sound CDev but want to listen to rSounds, just
install the Sound CDev and set all the sounds to System Beep.  Then
Finder Extensions like FinderSounder will be able to use the Sound CDev to
play the sounds, but there won't be lots of memory eaten up by sounds.
