Ah, another country with GST.  I think Canada copied New Zealand on
this one (we've had GST since about 1985, I think).

NZ Customs are usually very good.  If the amount of GST to be paid on
the item being imported comes to less than NZ$50, they don't bother
(too much paperwork to justify it).  Our rate of GST is 12.5%, so
NZ$400 is safe.  We don't get charged "handling fees" either.  No
doubt they'll think of it sooner or later.
