MAC LC IIe emulator question
My, what a blessedly active list I've found in you-all!
I hope you Apple II people are willing to speak to a MAC LC IIe-emulator
owner, because that's what my question is about.
Does anyone know a current phone number or address for POLARWARE
company (they're not in Batavia, IL anymore)? Or, does anyone
have an answer to my actual problem: of 5 Polarware games
(three just yesterday taken out of shrink wrap) only 1 sorta works
on the MAC LC IIe emulation card.
"CRIMSON CROWN" seems to work fine with the exception of a
"Sorry, I don't understand" line after each descriptive text.
Looks like it's reading an extra input character that I'm not typing.
"TALISMAN" and "SPY ADVENTURE IN NORTH AMERICA",
"SPY ADVENTURE IN SOUTH AMERICA", and "SPY ADVENTURE IN EUROPE"
all do the following: the disk begins to boot, I am asked
"Standard/Double hi-res graphics?", and I get three lines saying
something like "Hold on, agent H2O, the fate of the world .... etc"
and then nothing else. If I answered D it stops right there.
If I answered S it does a brief disk read first, then stops.
I wonder if it is part of copy protection, that doesn't recognize
the MAC LC IIe emulator?? Anybody know how to fix it??
