Sounds on the GS

I am still learning about the IIgs sound possibilities.
I would like to know how many different sound files
there are and whether they are interchangable in any way?
I have a SonicBlaster and SynthLab and that's all.
How do I play back other sounds? Can I use Mac sounds?
I realize this is pretty basic, but I have to start
somewhere...
