Solid red monitor screen
One of my GS monitors (luckily we have two systems, one not used much)
has what is probably a simple failure. As it starts to warm up you can
see a complete picture. As soon as it reaches full power the screen
goes completely red. (It's possible I can see there is a slight image
of the finder, but it's essentially saturated red.) Anyone know enough
about the guts to guess what that might be? (My local fix-it shop said
all he good do was a board replacement, and that would come to as much
as new off-brand monitor, $300.) I suppose I could take it to a TV
place, but they don't much more than swap cards either these days.
