When I had a bunch of drives just stop working, I tried another power supply and it was fine. One drive would work but as soon as you daisy chained it, it went wonky. Can you put a meter on the power supply and see what it's outputting? Best! ATFNot sure my meter probes are this enough to shimmy into the connector while it's plugged in.
You don't actually need to probe the voltage at the drive, or even on the controller card, if the suspected problem is the power supply and not the connector(s) or cable. Just measure the +12v, +5v, and -12v anywhere convenient on the main board while accessing the drive. If there's a voltage dip (particularly on the +12v) you'll see it. (BTW, it will also show up in the video output.) -michael ******** Note new website URL ******** NadaNet and AppleCrate II for Apple II parallel computing!
