.. how about - say one of these 38KHz IR receivers on the end of a
cable? CB can provide whats required to make it a "plug and go"
soultion. Its only 3 wires too.

They are only about $1 each, and we could use an IR remote control to
invoke and navigate CB. IR hand held controllers seem to be the most
thrown out thing around. I know I have a couple kicking around, and
the ones I buy for work are only $0.85 cents each. Ive got some code
for "learn and set" so as you can program the remote of choice to be
your CB controller.

.. just an idea.
