Re: PART-SOLVED: Focus Utilities vs CF to IDE adaptor?
Sean,
If you can hook that card to a PC via IDE, and use Boot 'n Nuke on it,
perhaps...
http://dban.sourceforge.net/
Might work via USB too, depends how compatible/passive your particular
motherboards USB is with regards to BIOS level drive availability.
Most certainly if it's a P4 less than a year old, it's probably EFI
emulating BIOS, USB is as good as onboard IDE. Boot 'n Nuke will whack
the contents and any remainders of partmaps, etc. Gone. Though the
Focus is in itself as good as Boot 'n Nuke, one just never knows. I've
never had to resort to that for a Focus to use a device, but I have
had to do that to CF cards for cameras and even PCs/Macs to see them
properly.
OTOH.. 20 gig .. I love hearing that :) More partitions than you can
shake a stick at .. ;-)
(actually, 30 max .. a technicality. Focus just kicks arse. ;)
