Well, the 512MB card is definitely not working on the adaptor in the 
Apple II - I even tried the CiderPress route of making an image of the 
whole 128MB card and applying it to the 512MB card with no luck. Haven't 
been able to try the dban route yet, may not bother.

I've pretty well decided to cut my losses and just get another 128MB 
card or two - I thought the 512MB card would be better value, but not if 
it ain't working! :)

PS could the 80x speed be an issue? They're both Transcend cards, and 
other than size, the speed is the only difference I can see.
