Re: Vulcan
Launch the AE Utility ....
Type 'A.E.' and be on your way and follow the on screen prompts. There
may be 256 cylinder limit. ($FF)
It's been a while.. I don't recall if you'll just get limited space or
the drive won't work. Use a 16 bit drive for better performance, you
can hardly find 8 bit drives anyway. AT model vs. XT model. The
Quantums were labeled XT and AT, Western Digital/Tandon had an X or an
A in the model # as a lot of other manufactures did too, some had 08
or 16 as a part of it.
The Vulcan Gold won't work in the //e - all the others work in
either //e or IIgs. However the case is different for a //e case or
IIgs case (Stealth GS requires a //e Vulcan for the formfactor)
The difference is which way the extra width goes, in the IIgs it comes
on the inbound side, on the //e it's the outbound side.
The Vulcan Gold ROM *usually* says Vulcan Gold on it, however it could
be just a version #, and that would be a 2.0
