Re: How to test if your memory card is DMA compatible?
Hello all.

I have been researching 8 Megs and DMA trying to sort out some conflicting
information. The past few days a lot of people have emailed me about this
subject. If you're reading this and haven't received a response from me,
just hold on. I'm getting to it, but please keep the emails coming! Thanks
to everyone for helping too.
It seems several people have sent me emails noting the RAMFast SCSI card.
Particularly the 'D' version of the card. It seems the RAMFast D with ROM
v3.0x CAN (somehow) DMA in to all 8 Megs of a couple RAM cards. The only
limitation I have found is you must have either a CV Tech 4 Meg board with a
piggybacked 4 Meg board of any manufacture, or the CV Tech 8 Meg board.
Seems Sequential Systems found a way around this FPI limitation in their
RAMFast SCSI card. Now is it Firmware or hardware related?
Does anyone have more information as to how exactly they accomplished this?
Can someone verify this information for me? If someone has the RAMFast D
card, a CV Tech 8 Meg card and a TWGS - can you verify they all work
together okay?
