: I believe the OP is talking about using a CF-to-IDE adapter with the Vulcan.
: Those 20-year-old hard drives the Vulcan can use aren't going to last
: forever. Firmware to work with newer IDE devices would be nice, but is it
: worth the investment when there are other mass-storage solutions already
: available? I don't know if it would even be possible, I know the Vulcan
: liked those special 8-bit IDE HD's like those found in the IBM XT, can the
: hardware handle standard 16-bit IDE?

I have a Vulcan Gold card set up with a CF to IDE adapter, but,
so far, haven't been able to get anything but a 20 MB CF card
to work with it. AFAIK, the Vulcan worked with 20MB, 40MB, and
100MB hard drives. Am I correct on this?, or does it have to do
with the CHS setup of the drive?
