Heya.. Let us know how it goes.. I'd like to do the same thing; I'm
still in the process of getting a MiniDIN8-DB9 (or DB25) serial cable,
though.

When I looked into this before (multiple months ago), I forget what
exactly I discovered with MS-CHAP, but there's a couple versions of it
- MS-CHAP1 and MS-CHAP2.  I am pretty sure XP supports both, but I
recall reading that Vista drops support for MS-CHAP1.

Hmm.. I forget now - Does the Marinetti serial driver use the GS
serial port or an installed Super Serial Card?  Off the top of my
head, I forget.  It's one or the other, but not both.
