I have a IIgs. So now what?

Hello!
As you are all probably very aware of now I have a IIgs. however because of
their rarity here I've never used one before. So far I've figured out how
to drop back to applesoft from the screen grizzling about lack of boot
media. Is there anything else that can be done without a disk drive?
I have a couple of drives I believe I can use in various configurations:

*Borrow one or two of the platinum Unidisk drives from my IIe.
*Butcher up a connector adaptor and use the Atlas-8 drive.
*Use the not-quite clone controllercard to control the Atlas-8, and live
with readonly access.

basically I want to see what I can do!

Currently I'm heading over to http://1000bit.org to see what i can find in
the way of docs.
