You are correct - I knew I shouldn't have provided the pinout from
memory. What I actually provided was the pin layout as I remembered
testing them within the ribbon cable plug (looking at the cable plug
with pin 1 on top).
Another example of why you shouldn't provide advice when the hardware
is not within reach (I posted my reply from work) - even if you
created a cable a couple of days ago! :-)
Anyway, damn those proprietary motherboards! <off_topic>A colleage
here at work has a P4 compaq board that has PC133 SDRAM SIMMS which I
didn't think ever existed. I was under the impression that the early
P4 boards were exclusively RDRAM. Oh well, better not stray too far
off topic..... </off_topic>
